Bung Fai, a homemade rocket, is launched from the rice paddy during the annual Rocket Festival, marking the growing season. The rocket, it’s said, will remind the Rain God of sending enough of water for the farmer. The festival will take in Yasothon, northeastern Thailand, on May 8-10, 2009.
