SIGHTINGS AND SOUNDINGS IN THE WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT
Jennifer wants her name back
Jennifer Pitt or (as we know her) Jennifer Aniston wants her maiden name back after the divorce. The former “Friends” star has asked the Los Angeles Superior Court for her name back because she wants to be known as Jennifer Aniston again. The actress has used Pitt’s name since their marriage in July 2000.
Sophomore now
Two years after her debut album “To Whom It May Concern”, Lisa Marie Presley is releasing the follow-up “Now What”. She says she has long wanted to put together a second album, and is happy to do it for her fans. (Why it took so long is a mystery.) Her album’s first single is “Dirty Laundry”, which is a remake of the Don Henley original. Elvis’s daughter says the song expresses the way she feels the world is today.
Bullock on the Walk of Fame
Sandra Bullock now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She received it on the same day her comedy movie “Miss Congeniality 2” was released. Her star is next to her friend and co-star Keanu Reeves. Among the actress’s successful movies are “Two Weeks Notice”, Miss Congeniality”, “Hope Float”, “Speed” and “While You Were Sleeping”.
The next Bond
Orlando Bloom may soon be the next James Bond – the younger version, that is. According to IMDB.com, he’s in negotiations to be a young 007, who can be far more adventurous and do more stunts than the ageing spy. “This is as near as I think I will get to playing the grown-up James in the next 20 years,” the young heartthrob says. The movie will be set in the 1930s, while Bond is in school at Eton.
Like other teens
Actress Pimpaporn “Ping” Leenutapong is just like her fellow teens. Ping and a group of friends recently were spied at Route 66, RCA, where many teenagers gather to dance and drink. Ping arrived quite late and - just like other teens - chatted and drank happily with her friends.
