My friends in America have called and emailed me about the news headline regarding thaksin’s visa being revoked. They ask how could a visa of a diplomatic passport holder be revoked? Well, it would seem quite simple to any person once you think about it. Every country allows foreign nationals to enter either through business, educational, tourist, of diplomatic visa. The word one must be cognizant of is “allow”. A country that upholds the rule of law would not allow a convicted felon to reside or enter its sovereignty under false premises. And the British are quite serious about ‘terrorism’ under any form or guise. Be it violent or propaganda. It will not allow foreign nationals, especially ones that have been tried and convicted with many other charges pending court hearings, to reside in and use its soil as the base for destabilizing and causing divisiveness and social rift. This is the meaning of having a mature democracy. |

Police Sunday arrested two men, who confessed to be PAD guards, after a lot of bombs and other weapons were found on them. The two - Thanit Khanurai, 28, and Watana Kijpithaksin, 22, were arrested while riding a motorcycle on the Ratchasima Road in Dusit district at 2:50 pm. Police found a bag with 3 M67 grenades, 22 ping pong bombs, 1 homemade bomb, 4 shotgun ammunitions, a samurai sword, and three sling shots. Police also found id cards of PAD guards on them.
