Samak makes call-in to six-party meeting
Prime Minister
Samak Sundaravej called Deputy
Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat during a meeting of coalition partners Saturday night to assure the partners that the government could survive, a source from the meeting said.
The source said Samak called Somchai, asking him to thank other coalition partners on his behalf for attending the meeting.
Samak was quoted as telling the partners to stick together and solve the problem by using mechanism of Parliament because he believed the government could survive as long as the government did not break the laws.
Samak also told the coalition partners that the People's Alliance for Democracy suffered from negative images more than the government.
