Thaksin's visa issued under US laws: US Ambassador
The issuing of visa for former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra was done under the United States laws which had no bearing on domestic politics in Thailand, US Ambassador Kristie Kenney said Tuesday.
Commenting on the Thaksin's ongoing visit to the US, Kenney said every year some 50,000 Thai citizens received visas granted in strict complaince to the existing laws and regulations.
She said the US was honour to have the bilateral cooperation on extradition and criminal assistance.
