Heavy rain, winds predicted
The meteorological department Friday said that tropical storm "Doksuri" would be moving across Hainan Island and southern China Friday and Saturday.
With the tropical storm and a strong Southwest monsoon moving over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, the Kingdom would see more rain and isolated heavy showers over the North, the Northeast, East and the West from yesterday to Monday.
People living in Mae Hong Son, Tak, Chanthaburi and Trat have been warned against strong winds, and since waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand are expected to be two to three metres high, ships have been told to proceed with caution.
