Fraser-Pryce wins 100m Olympic gold
London - Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica won back-to-back Olympic women's 100 metres gold medals on Saturday as Jamaica dealt the first blow in the sprint duel with the United States.
Fraser-Pryche won in 10.75 ahead of world champion Carmelita Jeter of the US, who took silver with 10.78. Veronica Campbell-Brown of Jamaica got bronze as in 2008, in 10.81.The silver and bronze medal times were the fastest in an Olympic final, and six runners dipped below 11 seconds.//DPA
