Democrat asks chief ombudsman to investigate charter amendments
Democrat MP Boonyod Sukthinthai Thursday represented his party to submit a request to the chief ombudsman, calling for an investigation as to whether the on-going charter amendments would be unconstitutional.
The Democrats alleged that the amendments would be unconstitutional because they would pave way for an establishment of a new constitution drafting assembly to draft a new charter.
Chief ombudsman Sriracha Charoenphanich said he would do his best to took into the issue.
