Court refuses to declare Saudi businessman missing person

The South Bangkok Civil Court Wednesday refused to declare a Saudi businessman, who went missing 19 years ago, a "missing person".

The court reasoned that the public prosecutors failed to come up with enough evidence to prove that Mohammad Al-Ruwaili had disappeared from the Kingdom of Thailand.

Al-Ruwaili has not been accounted for since February 12 1990. His car was found at the Bangkok Christian Hospital on the following day.

Without the strong evidence, the court rejected the request to have Al-Ruwali declared a missing person.
