Thaksin's counsin, Chaiyasit, injured in road accident
The accident happened on the mountainous road in Chiang Rai's Wiengpapao district, next to Chiang Mai's Doi Saket district at 11:10 am.
His driver and an aide were safe.
Chaiyasit, a counsin of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, was airlifted by a helicopter to the King Mongkut Hospital in Bangkok.
