The South Bangkok Court Saturday approved the first detention extension of Rakesh Saxena for 12 days.

Saxena, who was extradited from Canada to face fraud charges, was taken to the court at 8:30 am by police.

After the court approved police's request to extend Saxena's detention, he was taken to the Bangkok Remand Prison.

The court also approved Saxena's request to be detained inside the prison's hospital.
