Red shirts to gather 1 million signatures to seek royal pardon for Thaksin

The red shirts Wednesday set a target of gathering one million signatures within one month to petition His Majesty the King to pardon ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra.

The Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship leaders led by Veera Musikapong announced in a press conference about his group's plan to gather at least on million to seek Royal clemency for Thaksin.

He said if his group could not gather enough signatures after one month, the plan would be scrapped.

The forms for the signature campaign would be distributed to the public Thursday, he said.
