At the ceremony yesterday presided by Deputy Finance Minister Pradit Pataraprasit, others with the awards for the lower market cap categories are Univanich Palm Oil, Thai Metal Trade and Advanced Information Technology.
A total of 29 awards were presented by the SET which worked out the campaign with Money and Banking magazine. The number of awards is lower than last year's as the financial results of 2008, when the world was hit hard, were in focus.
The sixth event is to honour listed companies, securities companies and mutual fund companies, as well as outstanding persons. It is set to inspire all who have been dedicated in preserving the companies' excellence, said SET President Patareeya Benjapolchai.
Other awardees included Siam Commercial Bank president Kannikar Chalitaporn is named, the Best CEO; UBS Securities (Thailand) as Best Securities Company for institutional investors; Kasikorn Securities as Best Securities Company for individual investors; and Bualuang Asset Management as the best mutual fund company.
