Piamwilai punches her way to gold

Piamwilai Laopiam helped Thailand clinch a gold medal in the women's boxing competition of the Asian Indoor Games in Vietnam yesterday.

The 26-year-old, one of the two Thai fighters featuring in the finals, edged out an Indian opponent 32 in the bantamweight class, while Sopida Sathumram had to settle for a silver after a 124 loss to a Filipina in the flyweight category.
