Wyeth in milk promotion campaign

S-26, in partnership with the National Food Institute, kicked off the Hygienic Kitchen: Food - Safe Schools programme with support from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the Ministries of Education and Public Health, to promote hygiene and nutrition for students.

S-26 also supports the Super School … Super Milk concept to reinforce its mission to promote the consumption of hygienic and nutritious food.

According to Viriya Chongphaisal, managing director of Wyeth (Thailand) Ltd, the owner of S-26, which has over 90 years of experience in child nutrition, "The National Food Institute has worked closely with S-26 to launch the Hygienic Kitchen: Food - Safe Schools programme, with the goal to promote hygiene via schools. The initiative is also intended to boost good nutrition as a path to good health and development for children. Today, imbalanced nutrition is critical to all ages of children and is likely to be more severe. Growing children need sufficient nutrients to ensure proper physical and intellectual development."

"School is like a second home for children. In-school activities directly influence the students development. Hygienic Kitchen: Food - Safe Schools will help parents and schools improve in-school food standards by providing advice and renovating the food preparation areas at all pilot schools to ensure they meet hygiene and safety standards. Moreover, the initiative will provide knowledge about food safety and GMP catering practices"

"Hygienic Kitchen: Food - Safe Schools" is a major collaboration between the public and private sectors to raise the food quality standards for students. Its ultimate goal is to promote the growth and development of students so that they can grow up to be quality citizens of Thailand.

To reinforce its mission to promote hygienic and nutritional food for healthy living and proper growth and development among children, S-26 also announced the new campaign under the Super School … Super Milk theme, which provides an exclusive offer for the Hygienic Kitchen pilot schools. Eligible schools must meet the National Food Institute and the Department of Health's hygiene standard requirements and run a tangible activity that promotes nutritional food such as milk or the additional breakthrough nutrient called lutein providing nutritional support to the eye.

"Schools that meet the requirements under the Super School … Super Milk concept on an ongoing basis and demonstrate the highest level of creativity will receive a free trip to Singapore to visit the S-26 manufacturing complex that uses high-tech production technology and meets the world's highest standards in the areas of hygiene and safety. The faculty and students of the winning schools will learn more about hygiene and good nutrition," concluded Viriya .
