REGIONAL CONTAINER LINES made a net loss of Bt837.01 million in 2008, compared to a net profit of Bt3.81 billion the year before.

HANA MICROELECTRONICS saw its 2008 net profit drop sharply to Bt1.9 billion from Bt2.45 billion the previous year. The company explained that in the third quarter of 2007, it had gained Bt504.6 million from the sale of Advance Interconnec Technology.

CENTRAL PLAZA HOTEL's 2008 net profit fell to Bt323.8 million from Bt397.9 million a year earlier.

THAI CENTRAL CHEMICAL's 2008 earnings fell to Bt121.8 million from Bt647.5 million a year earlier.

ROJANA INDUSTRIAL ESTATE's board approved the issuance of 299 million five-year warrants. To accommodate the exercise of the warrants, it will issue 299 million new shares, which will raise its capital from Bt897 million to Bt1.196 billion. The additional funds will strengthen the company amid the economic crisis and prepare for future expansion when the crisis is over.

TICON INDUSTRIAL CONNECTION's consolidated net profit dropped 31.63 per cent to Bt335.38 million in 2008, due to lack of extraordinary revenue in the year. Ticon showed a 14.99-per-cent increase in rent and service fees. The company has approved a plan to issue 111.89 million warrants to shareholders and 32.88 million to directors and employees. New shares issued to accommodate the exercise will raise its capital to Bt1 billion.

SOLARTRON returned to profit last year, with earnings of Bt2 million compared to a net loss of Bt91 million in 2007.

CH KARNCHANG's board approved a 12-month extension for loan repayment from subsidiary Southeast Asia Energy.

LOXLEY reported a net loss of Bt1.99 billion for 2008, compared to a Bt228.9-million net profit a year earlier.

TT&T's net loss widened in 2008 to Bt2.9 billion, from Bt2 billion a year ago.

INDORAMA POLYMERS posted a 2008 consolidated net profit of Bt1.54 billion, up from Bt1.07 billion the year before.

TRANG SEAFOOD PRODUCTS will raise capital from Bt200 million to Bt1.2 billion by the issuance of 100 million new shares at Bt10 par value for sale to existing shareholders at Bt1.20 apiece.

CSP STEEL CENTRE posted a 2008 net profit of Bt66.63 million, up from Bt42.04 million the year before.

THORESEN THAI AGENCIES reported that wholly owned subsidiary Thor Venture Shipping sold a cargo vessel to PT Perusahaan Pelayaran Equinox for Bt95.84 million.

ASIAN SEAFOODS COLD-STORAGE posted a 2008 consolidated net profit of Bt306.21 million, against a net loss of Bt451.16 million in 2007.

EASTERN STAR REAL ESTATE reported a 2008 consolidated net profit of Bt107.25 million, down from Bt136.39 million in 2007.

SE-EDUCATION posted a 2008 consolidated net profit of Bt194.63 million, up from Bt183.8 million the year before.

ASIASOFT CORP recorded a 2008 consolidated net profit of Bt185.13 million, down from Bt253.63 million a year earlier.

SVI posted a 2008 consolidated net profit of Bt647.11 million, up from Bt384.01 million in 2007.

SAFARI WORLD reported a 2008 net loss of Bt171.63 million, up from a net loss of Bt333.03 million the previous year.
