
BAFS sees recovery
Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services expects a recovery in its jet-fuel sales volume next year due to declining global oil prices.
BAFS deputy managing director Pugdee Manaves said yesterday that jet-fuel sales should grow 1 per cent by volume as airliners increase flight frequencies.
BAFS's sale volume this year dropped 2 per cent due to high oil prices, which have affected airlines worldwide. The company expects revenue this year at Bt1.4 billion. - The Nation
Esso to issue Bt8-bn bills
Esso (Thailand)'s board yesterday approved the issuance of bills of exchange with outstanding value not to exceed Bt8 billion.
The B/Es will carry either a fixed or floating rate. Esso has not yet finalised at what type of investors to target the B/Es. The proceeds will boost its working capital.

New MCOT head by April
MCOT chairman Charupong Ruangsuwan said yesterday that the state enterprise's new president would be appointed by April, ahead of the annual shareholders' meeting. A five-member committee has been formed to select the successor to Wasant Paileeklee.

Songkhla roofing centre
Wattana Home Centre, a major construction-material distributor in Songkhla, has teamed up with Siam Cement Group to build a Bt15-million roofing centre in the province.
CEO Supawat Triwanatham said the total construction material market in the South was valued at Bt13 billion a year. The new centre is expected to be opened in February. - The Nation
