A grand ceremony yesterday saw the ashes of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana laid to rest in the Rangsi Vadhana Memorial, where blue flowers - the Princess' favourites - carpet the grounds.

The enshrinement of the ashes marks the end of six days of cremation ceremonies.

HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn transported the ashes by motorcade to Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram where the memorial is located.

The ashes of the late Princess' parents are also interred at the memorial.

Cavalry troops accom¬panied the motorcade from Phra Si Rattana Chedi at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha to the memorial.

Their Majesties the King and Queen arrived at the memorial around 5pm, where His Majesty received the ashes and laid a wreath at the shrine.

Meanwhile, Culture Ministry permanent secretary Vira Rojpojchanarat is calling on people to submit photos of the Royal Cremation ceremonies to www.MCulture.go.th by the end of this month. "We will select 84 photos to publish in a book about the Princess," Vira said.
