There are 300 booths featuring 500 brands, many of them offering special consumer packages as the end of the year looms. About 1 million visitors are expected over the four days.
Many new highlight technologies are expected to make their debut at this year's Commart, such as Microsoft's Surface Netbook Gallery; many notebooks embedded with Intel Centrino2 from across the brands; Acer Emachaines - an economy PC; and Acer Aspire One - a net book PC. Also, Epson will be showing its single and multifunction wireless solutions and offering customers a four-day price of less than Bt2,000 for a multifunction printer.
There will be auctions for cool gadgets such as Google Phone G1s, iPhone 3Gs and iPod Nanos, with a starting price of just Bt1.
Many credit-card companies will be on hand with special offers for Commart visitors. For example, KTC will offer zero interest for installation of products purchased in the event and any visitor paying with a KTC card will have a chance to win a lucky draw for a notebook and an iPod.
As well, consumers visiting the Commart will have a chance to win a new Honda City, and those arriving by MRT transportation will have a chance to win a daily prize of a CyberDict 3 Platinum worth Bt6,990. HTC is also offering a 50-per-cent discount on HTC Touch Pro and HTC Touch Viva.
