The Criminal Court also fined Pol Sr SgtMajors Nulome Addma and Mongkhol Thothong Bt40,000 each for twice raping the unnamed 16yearold after arresting her on January 14, 2006 for failing a drugs test.

The court acquitted Pol Sr SgtMajor Phajon Takonewon after the girl testified she was not positive whether he was one of the two other men involved in the assault. Working undercover as plainclothes detectives, the three defendants kept the girl in custody for nine days before her mother found out that she had been arrested.

The judges dismissed Nulome and Mongkhol's claims that the girl had invented the story as revenge for previous disputes between her mother and other Phet Kasem policemen, calling them unconvincing and groundless.
