Controversial hotel set to be sold

The owner of the Ruenrom Hotel in Khon Kaen is to sell the business for Bt95 million after occupancy plummeted following news of the video clip shot there of RS Promotions singing duo Four Mod showering.

Owner's son Thiti Polnithiporn, 23, yesterday denied any involvement by the hotel in the video and said management was devastated by what had happened because the business had suffered a 90-per-cent drop in sales, prompting himself and his father to decide to sell.

"Our 60 rooms used to be fully booked, and we took Bt30,000-Bt40,000 a day; now with what's happened we're down to less than 10 per cent of that," he said.

To cooperate with police, the hotel has sealed room 110, where Sakolrat Wora-urai, nicknamed Four, and Chutimon Chairat, nicknamed Mod, were filmed while staying at the hotel when booked to perform a concert in July last year.
