This 11th edition of the camp is being held jointly by Nation Multimedia Group, Mama noodles company Saha Pathanapibul, the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) and Advanced Info Service.
Nation Multimedia Group president Thanachai Santichaikul says the number of applicants at www.MamaLover.com has topped 100,000.
Extra capacity online
"It's the highest number since we began running the camps," said Saha Pathanapibul spokesperŽson Surat Ketrattanakul.
"Unfortunately, there are not enough places for all the students - UTCC can take 30,000 students, while Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen and Prince of Songkla uniŽversities will each serve 5,000. The good news is that live broadcasts are available through www.247Friend.net, www.MamaLover.com, www.NationChannel.com and 109 school websites, and these will reach 30,000 more students," said Surat.
Apart from tutoring, 40 top students from disadŽvantaged backgrounds will be given Bt10,000 each to further their bachelor degrees.
