Wiwan leaves K Asset

Wiwan Tarahirunchote, the executive vice-chairman of Kasikorn Asset Management Co Ltd, has submitted resignation from the post, with immediate effect.

Kasikornbank President Prasarn Trairatvorakul said Wiwan wanted to clear her name in the lawsuit involving Financial Sector Restructuring Authority (FRA)'s assets sales.

"Her resignation would not affect the bank's operations as we have other executives to overtake her responsibility," he said.

Wiwan was managing director of One Asset Management Co Ltd, one of legal entities implicated in the lawsuit that charged FRA chiefs of benefiting asset buyers, which in the case was Lehman Brothers Holding Inc and its Global Thai Property Fund.
