Bangkok,  DHL announced that Chananyarak Phetcharat has been appointed as managing director DHL Express Thailand and Indochina. A prominent leader in the Thai business community, Chananyarak succeeds Herbert Vongpusanachai who has been promoted to be General Manager, DHL Express Singapore.

Chananyarak has more than 20 years of management experience in several major organizations. She has been widely recognized for her leadership and strategic ability and has received numerous awards from various organizations including the prestigious Boss of the Year award for the telecom industry 2005 and Top Female Executive of Thailand in 2006.

Yasmin Aladad Khan, senior vice president, DHL Express - South East Asia said, "Chananyarak's broad experience and market knowledge uniquely qualifies her for this role.  She will be a valuable asset for DHL Express Thailand and Indochina's operation and the global network. In her new role, Chananyarak will also provide corporate strategic initiatives for the Thailand and Indochina operations in this fast-moving and customer-satisfaction-driven business.

Prior to joining DHL, Chananyarak was country manager of Motorola (Thailand) where she led the company achieved record breaking growth. Chananyarak has also held a number of management positions at large corporations including Columbia Gas, Manugistics, Oracle Corporation and SAS Institute.

Chananyarak Phetcharat earned a Master's degree in Management Information System from West Virginia University, USA. She also received a graduate certificate in a special management programme from Marshall University, USA. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management majoring in Accounting with honors ranking of 5Gs scholarship from Ramkhamhaeng University.
