A Canadian man was yesterday sentenced to three and a half years in prison for sexually abusing two young boys five years ago.
The Criminal Court also ordered Christopher Paul Neil, 32, an English teacher, to pay Bt60,000 compensation to the families of the two boys, who were eight years old at the time of the assaults. The court convicted him of sexually abusing underage boys and posting pictures of the victims on the Internet. His initial sentence of six years and six months was halved due to his confession, the judge said.
Neil was arrested at a house in Nakhon Ratchasima on October 19 last year after a worldwide manhunt launched by Interpol.
