Ministry plans low-priced goods fair

The Commerce Ministry will host a fair for cheap goods following the Finance Ministry's successful of mega-trade fair.

The fair for low-priced goods, called "Made in Thailand" will be at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani from August 8-17.

Food and other daily necessities will be sold at discounts of 20 to 40 per cent to help consumers cope with the rising cost of living. Export products will also be sold.

More than a million visitors are expected to attend the 10-day event. The ministry will spend up to Bt50 million on prizes such as cars and motorcycles for 'lucky draws' to attract visitors.
