Boonsang's invitation is seen as the military's increasing concerns over Unesco's listing of the temple as a World Heritage Site and the military's wish totake more action on the issue.
The meeting will be held at the National Defence College of Thailand at 9am.
Noppadon and Pongpon will be key figures in the issue. Noppadon whose resignation will be effective on Monday has found himself in hot water after he signed a join communique with Cambodia concerning the temple. The Constitution Court ruled last week that the communique he signed was unconstitutional. He resigned shortly after the court's ruling.
Pongpong was with Noppadon when the Unesco ruled in favour of Cambodia over the temple's nomination. He failed to convince the Unesco to delay the decision.
Meanwhile Thepmontri Limpapayom, a wellknown historian, said in a briefing on Saturday that Pongpon should be dismissed as Thai chief of the WH committee as he failed to do his job.
He said Thailand has time to take more action on the issue as deadline for Cambodia to complete the listing is next year.
