Noppadon impeached by the Opposition

The Opposition on Thursday filed a petition with deputy Senate Speaker Nikom Wairatpanit to impeach Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama over Preah Vihear Temple issue.

Sathit Wongnongtoei, chairman of the Opposition whip submitted 141 signatures of MPs needed to launch an impeachment proceeding.

He said Noppadon must be removed from his post because he intentionally broke Article 190 and 270 of the Constitution.

The Opposition filed the motion before Noppadon stepped down.
