Run for your life - or jog for joy!Head to the beach next month and sign up for the annual Pattaya Marathon on July 20. The race is designed to suit different fitness levels with heats varying from the 42-kilometre standard to a 10km quarter marathon, and routes suited to both wheelchair racers and runners.
The races' starts are staggered, with the wheelchair athletes first off at 4.20am followed by the marathon runners 10 minutes later. Starting on Pattaya Beach Road, participants will continue along the long strip of promenade and highway. Winners in the top categories for each race go home with Bt200,000 each in cash.

Indy and the carvings of the BayonArchaeology-minded travellers take note. The Siam Society is organising a lecture on the unexplained stone-carved reliefs of the Bayon at Angkor Wat.
The discussion, hosted by Vittorio Rovada, takes place on June 26 at 6pm.
A modern-day Indiana Jones, Rovada is a lecturer on Southeast Asian Art at Singapore's La Salle Art College and an expert in the iconography and mythology of Cambodian art.

Swiss Park to get a new glowSwiss Park Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11 has been taken over by InVision Hospitality, a new Bangkok-based property-management firm.
The acquisition became effective on May 14.
Swiss Park Hotel, with 108 rooms, is located next to Nana BTS Station.
InVision is investing some Bt150 million in renovations and intends to relaunch the downtown property as Glow Hotel@Sukhumvit 11. The hotel will continue to offer full services throughout the renovations.
