Austek has designed a motherboard with green technology - the EPU-6 engine, which uses 40-per-cent less power than do traditional motherboards.
The new ASUS P5Q series can automatically detect personal-computer loadings and adjust the voltage and frequency to save power. It can help save up to 37 per cent VGA power.
The EPU-6 engine guards against power loss through monitoring and moderation of the power supply and reportedly provides 96-per-cent power efficiency.
