Delegate responsibly

An excerpt from Kasame Chatikavanich's book
"Good management, I had learnt, meant not abusing one's power. An effective executive should not involve himself in the minute details of the work or do everything himself. He should delegate the work according to the strength of each man to prevent responsibility and decision-making resting solely with one person.
At the same time, evaluation of work performance should not be measured by the amount of time the delegated person has vested but rather in the results he has provided.
Satisfactory results, whether produced by a low-ranking or high-ranking subordinate, should receive due recognition as reward."
