GMM Grammy expects better-than-predicted revenue

GMM Grammy expects this year's revenue to exceed expectations of Bt8 billion, due to bright outlook in all business. Last year's revenue was Bt7.3 billion.



Chief operating officer Sumeth Damrongchaitham yesterday said the net profit margin this year should be 8-9 per cent, up from 6 per cent last year. Its first-quarter net profit was Bt105.69 million, up 156 per cent year on year.

Record Afet trading volume

Trading volume on the Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand yesterday set a record daily high of 1,337 contracts worth a total of Bt574 million.

Sipa signs project MoU

The Software Industry Promotion Agency yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TOT and CAT Telecom as part of their joint development of the Phuket ICT Innovation Paradise project.

Computer security

United Information Highway (UIH), together with affiliate ACIS i-Secure and other partners, have introduced a computer-security leasing service aimed primarily at UIH's data-network customers.

   Vichai Bencharongkul, president of Benchachinda Holding, which owns 75 per cent of UIH and 30 per cent of ACIS i-Secure, yesterday said UIH had targeted Bt50 million in revenue this year from offering the new service mainly to its 4,000 corporate customers.
