Harn opens bangkok outlet, eyes 25% global growth

Harn Products targets increasing sales of its Harnn-brand natural home spa products by 25 per cent this year, through its 64 outlets worldwide - including the one that opened in Bangkok yesterday.



Two more outlets per month will be launched in the United States and India, company founder Vudhichai Harnpanich said.

He started up in 2000 as one of Thailand's first producers of all-natural high-end soap.

Now he has outlets in more than 20 countries, including Japan, Australia, Canada, France, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Taiwan.

Concept stores located in downtown shopping centres generated about Bt500 million in sales last year.

Thailand hosts 14 branches, including the latest one at CentralWorld Plaza.

Harnn is positioned as a "heritage brand" of facial, body and aromatherapy spa products made of natural ingredients from all over Asia.

The products, recognised by the Prime Minister Export Awards 2004 and 2005, also win over buyers with their Thai-styled packages.

Recently introduced as complimentary products are seven teas in the Harnn Tisane Collection, aimed at health-conscious consumers.
