Banharn said Chart Thai had the right to abstain from voting for Chai Chidchob as House Speaker. He said what happened should serve as a lesson for the PPP over the lack of coordination among coalition parties.
On the voting day yesterday, Chart Thai had decided to go for abstention because it felt the PPP did not respect the Chart Thai by not formally asking the party for their votes.
When he was informed that PPP's Khon Kaen MP Prajak Klaewklahan's statement that the PPP would retaliate by not voting in support of Chart Thai's ministers if they faced censure motion, Banharn got moody saying the MP should be invited to meet him.
