The developer attributes this popularity to the project's proximity to the mass-transit system - especially the Mo Chit stations for the Skytrain and the underground.
Thanapat Property Development managing director Dolpiwat Predawipat said the project met the customer need for a city condominium near the mass-transit system.
This is the reason for the impressive sales achieved in just a few months of the project's grand opening late last year.
The developer has applied for an Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) licence and a construction licence. Dolpiwat does not expect any problems in getting the approval because the project's design has followed the guidelines laid down by the law.
In fact, he said, the company had changed the design of the project as per the suggestions of the EIA
committee.
"Since most property developers faced a problem with the EIA licence and construction licence, home-buyers' confidence in my project was also affected," Dolpiwat said.
"However, I explained to my customers that my project has been designed according to the specified guidelines. Apart from that, I am also ready to refund the monies if I am not able to deliver the project on time," he said.
Thanapat Vipha Condominium is a high-rise condominium project. The project comprises two 29-storey buildings.
It has a total of 736 units with prices starting at Bt1.46 million for studio-type apartments that have a utilisation space of 27 square metres.
Prices for one-bedroom apartments with a utilisation space of 35 square metres start at Bt1.89 million.
Two-bedroom apartments with a utilisation space of 55 square metres cost Bt2.95 million.
Apartments with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a utilisation space of up to 70 square metres are available for Bt3.75 million.
The developer has started laying out the piping and the project is likely to be completed by 2010.
