Thai students bags medals from Asian Physics Olympics

Thai students have bagged many medals, including a gold one, from the latest Asian Physics Olympics.



Held in Mongolia, the international competition attracted 136 top students from 18 countries.

With outstanding performances, Thainational Kawin Surakijbavorn from Triamudomsuksapattanakarn School grabs the gold medal from the event.

Three other Thais, meanwhile, come up with silver medals. They are Kamin Siriwatwejakul from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School, Napat Puwuttikul and Ponnop Samutprapoot from Triam Udom Suksa School.

Jira Noenkhiri from Triam Udom Suksa School, and Pakorn Wongwaitayakornkul and Wisarut Pinrod from the Mahidol Wittayanusorn School are bronze medallists.

The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology has fielded eight Thais in the Asian Physics Olympics, which ran from April 20 to April 28.
