Six footballers sentenced to jail for match-fixing

Singapore (dpa) - Six Chinese footballers have been sentenced to jail after being found guilty of match fixing the Straits Times reported on Wednesday.



The six, who all played for the same S-League club, were also fined.

 They were found guilty of having received amounts of between 600 and 2,000 Euros from their coach, to throw matches. The coach, who has since disappeared, then bet on the matches.
