May 2 set for bribe hearing

The Senate panel is expected to complete its report on alleged bribery offers in exchange for the position of Senate speaker on May 2, senator Rosana Tositrakul said Thursday.

"At this juncture, a few senators have stepped forward to testify about the offers but their testimonies remain unclear whether any wrongdoing happened," she said.

The investigative panel will continue to gather evidence in order to be able to draw a firm conclusion on the issue, she said.

She revealed that public prosecutors were assisting the panel with evidence examination.
