Yongyuth has not lost clout depite disqualification trial

House Speaker Yongyuth Tiyapairat yesterday threw a birthday party for 80 MPs from northern and north-eastern provinces at his home in Chiang Rai.



Surachai Baochanya, former Khon Kaeen MP said he joined other MPs to wish Yongyuth for his birthday party organised in Chiang Rai yesterday. Deputy House Speaker Somsak Kiatsuranont and Deputy House Speaker Apiwan Wiriyachai also joined the event.

He said Yongyuth was not concerned about the disqualification trial. Former prime-minister Thaksin Shinawatra would meet with Yongyuth in Chiang Rai when he visited Chiang Mai.
