Activists to gather signatures to remove Public Health Minister
The Foundation for Consumer on Friday presented itself to Senate Speaker Prasopsuk Boondet be spearhead the 20,000-signature gathering to remove Public Health Minister Chaiya Sasomsub from his position.
The foundation's secretary-general Saree Ongsomwang reasoned that Chaiya's actions especially the order to review compulsory licenses on four cancer drugs were within a frame of damaging the government budget and against the constitution. Others imporper actions including the unjust transfer orders of high level officials, she claimed.
The next step would be for the senate to investigate the foundation's qualification before allowing it to gather at least 20,000 signatures to submit to Senate Speaker within 180 days.
