Indorama launches stem-cell bank

Cryoviva (Thailand) has been launched as the country's largest storehouse of stem cells from cord blood.

   It is a joint venture between Indorama Group (Thailand) and RJ Corp (India) using technology licensed from US world leader Cryobank International.

   Cryoviva has already completed validation and approval following the standard operating procedures for cryo-preservation of cord-blood stem cells, Vatchara Phanchet, chairman of Cryoviva (Thailand), said yesterday. 

JMAC opens office

Japan-based JMA Consultants has opened an affiliate in Thailand to expand business to Asean.

   JMA Consultants (Thailand) is the company's latest overseas office. Yoshiaki Makino, president of the local unit, said it would serve businesses here and in Asean with a full range of management consulting and human-resource development programmes.
