Somsak ready to stand in

Deputy House Speaker Somsak Kiartsuranont yesterday was confident he could do the job of acting speaker during the period of suspension of Yongyuth Tiyapairat, who is to stand trial on vote-buying charges.

 "Yongyuth has already informed me that he will suspend his duties and I am not worried about enforcing House procedures," he said.

  Somsak was certain Yongyuth would clear his name.
