Top designers head to event

Three top foreign designers have agreed to share their experience with Thai designers at the Big Design Week event, said Department of Export Promotion director-general Rachane Potjanasuntorn.

They include Stephen Burks from Readymade Projects of the US and Japan's Kazuhisa Sadogawa from I&R System. The third designer will represent British firm Global Colour Research.

They will give information about marketing and design trends in the US, Japan and Europe.

"Big Design Week is an event to give a chance to exporters to learn about design in depth. We believe the event will encourage creative thinking by Thais," Rachane said.

The event will be held from March 3-7 at the Thailand Creative and Design Centre in The Emporium shopping centre in Bangkok.
