The Samak Sudaravej government will unveil its policies to Parliament from February 18 to 20, said Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Somchai Wongsawat yesterday.

He said the Cabinet would be attended by senior officials, including the secretaries-general of the Council of State and Finance Ministry.

The secretary-general of the National Economic and Social Development Board has been asked to table policy alterations.

The three issues are among eight or nine urgent matters that include transport and housing. He said the public could judge the government's performance at the end of its four-year term.

Somchai said it would take no longer than six months for the policies to start showing results. He was noncommittal about economic policy.
