But Valentino knows how to put class in his cute. This is a collection that will appeal to all ages.
The runway show that closed the big week at the Emporium opened with a short, red ruffled dress that was as playful as it was chic. And then things got a lot simpler.
There was a strapless number with black and white polka dots, dresses in sugary pink and purple that looked demure and powerful at the same time, and a classic, asymmetrical black mini-dress.
The genius was in the details. These included crystallised georgette flower prints and, on a beige dress, sequins and embroidery. Then there's the subtle ruching and draping effect that always gives the wearer a goddess-like look.
For the finale, Varaluck "Joy" Vanichkul was the honorary model, looking sleekly feline in a red "Val's girl" gown.
