Recently Chic Channel True Vision 24 held its Chic Channel CJ Search by GSM Advance. The event was held to find talented young people aged between 18-25 who are interested in fashion and music.
From 100 candidates in the first round, 19 candidates were selected to attend workshops and training for three months. They had to present clothing on a catwalk in the final round held at Life Style Hall at Siam Paragon.
But the awards were not easily obtained. All 19 finalists were asked to talk about their vision, interests and knowledge in a speech test. Each had one minute to talk about fashion idols, brands, styles and music.
Many chose to talk about their abilities, mentioning Thai fashion brands and designers such as Thakoon Panichgul, New York-based Thai designers known among Hollywood celebrities, and sisters Pim, Kly and Martina Sukhahuta from Sretsis.
At the end, Pasaweepitch 'Kree' Sornakkharapha, a 25-year-old graduate from Silpakorn University won the first prize. She is self-confident and trendy with big eyes and a big smile.
Pasaweepitch has set up a company with her friends, where she is in charge of customer relations.
She said she jumped at this chance to be a CJ and DJ because she believes it is another challenging job.
"I figure out things I really want and do them. I'm familiar with working as a host or moderator. But this project encouraged me to become a DJ as well so I couldn't miss the opportunity. It's a world of experience," said Kree.
The first-prize winner took home Bt40,000 in cash, a Motorola Z6 mobile phone worth Bt5,000, a health check-up package and VIP membership for a year at Chirofit Integrated Fitness Solution.
Four runners-up were Kantida 'June' Suppakarnkitkul, Chompunuch 'Bow' Rossirirat, Thitinan 'Bambam' Wongsakulphisan and Jilamiga 'Fah' Chalermsuk.
Now the 24-hour fashion TV programme on True Vision 24 has seven CJs as hosts.
Pasaweepitch will be revealing her abilities on the fashion TV programme on True Vision 24 and on Get Radio FM102.5 soon.
