Olympic Game spurs more arrivals to Thailand

Qantas and British Airways acclaimed that Thailand would get more arrivals from Europe and Australia this year, which the Olympic Game was scheduled to hold in China.

Located in the middle between Australia, Europe and China, the two major airlines believes that Thailand will be the only country that have benefits from tourism and international travels.

Thailand is considered one of the countries with a variety of tourism for decades. Therefore, it's not hard to draw visitors.

"British Airways is receiving more bookings from Western flying to Thailand while Qantas also earns more Australian travelers. These people want to come to Thailand for holidays before going to or coming back from the game," said Kavin McQuillan, manager for Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Both Qantas and British Airways operates daily flight from Bangkok to London and also daily flight from Bangkok to Sydney, using Boeing 747400.

About 60 percent of travelers are for business, 30 per cent for leisure, and the rest of 10 per cent for studying purposes.
