FTA fund budgeted Bt134 mn in 2008

The External Trade Department sets aside a Bt134 million budget for the FTA fund, in the second year of operations to help those who are negatively affected by Thailand's free trade agreements with other countries.



 Apiradee Tantraporn, director-general of the department, said that at least 16 industrial groups are affected by the FTAs. They include meat, fishery, dairy products, processed vegetable and fruit, pharmaceuticals, paper, textiles, garments, shoes, steel, and electronic appliances.
