Lexus prices cut on Jtepa
Toyota Motor (Thailand) has slashed the prices of Toyota Lexus by Bt300,000 to Bt640,000 since January 1, 2008, under the auspices of the Japan-Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement (Jtepa).
Vuthikorn Suriyachanthananon, executive vice president of Toyota, said in a company statement that both countries agree to tariff custs under the agreement and as such the prices of Lexus with engines above 3,000cc would be cut.
For models are subject to the price cuts - LS460 (long wheel base), LS460 (short wheel base), RX400H and RX350. For example, the long wheel base LS460 Lexus would be priced Bt10.91 million, from Bt11.55 million, or a cut of Bt640,000.
Vuthikorn said that in 2007, Toyota sold 362 Lexus vehicles, a 15 per cent growth from the previous year.
The prices of Ventury Commuter and Hiace vans would also be cut by Bt11,000-Bt15,000.
