Anupong said he could not anticipate the topics that Pojaman might raise, adding that he and the junta would not get involved in the legal proceedings relating to the Shinawatra family and that political problems should be resolved via political means.
"If Pojaman wants a meeting to take place in order to ensure social peace for the robust economy and the vibrant stock market, then I am willing to listen to her," he said.
In regard to speculation that his retired predecessor, General Prawit Wongsuwan, might be appointed to the position of Defence minister, he said Prawit is a respected and capable figure who enjoys the trust of the military.
He also repeated his stand about noninterference with the work of the Election Commission. He said he was confident that the EC could resolve electoral disputes in a satisfactory manner.
